One associate remarked several months ago how he'd just put up an Amazon store with "good solid content to come later"... He wanted to know of any success stories.

I took a look at his site, and it was still just an Amazon Web Service display. Nothing unique, other than some TOS violations.

Apparently a really long time later....

Or maybe you meant running other's copyrighted content on your site was your idea of good solid content? See Library Journal Copyright 1987 Reed Business Information, Inc. for example....

Is it any wonder that search engines view most affiliate websites as junk to be sent to the bottom of the search results....

BTW, if you want a success story: In the good old days, it wasn't too difficult to hit 5 figures in one month from Amazon, until the script kiddies made so many clones of Amazon that Google had to get good at kill duplicate content.... A good focused online bookstore could make you $50 a day in commissions whether you worried about the daily reports being on time or not.....
