John Lear, son of the famous airplane company Learjet's founder, Bill Lear, has every possible FAA rating. From 1966-1983 he flew for the CIA. Has been a captain and check pilot for 10 airlines. He is the youngest American to climb the Matterhorn in 1959. In 1968 John raced in the Reno air races. He is a 20 year member of the special operations associates.

John is the owner of Cuthtroat mining corporation, the only company with a legal gold mining license in Neveda. He was the 1999 winner of excellence in mine reclamation for his work there. He holds a blaster listen from the Nevada state fire martial. He lives in Las Vegas.

In 1988 John met and became friends with Bob Lazar, the government scientist who worked on reverse engineering alien propulsion at area S4, just outside Area 51.

While many brand Lazar as a fraud, John says that those who brand him as a fraud weren't there, but he was.

John tracked down the Army sergeant who accidentally read the secret government report Grudge 13, which documented the history of the UFO coverup. The report included clear photographs of recovered extraterrestrial craft, and the beings inside.

John spent time looking into other UFO related areas. Since then John has learned many interesting facts about the solar system and it's planets. The incredible, but secret, mission of Apollo 17 was a voyage to a special area.

John Lear believes that the government has good reasons for their coverup. The government never intends to release any information about UFO's. John feels the public doesn't have the right to know these facts.

So why after ten years of silence, is John talking? He feels he represents no threat to the government's security, in an age when a majority of people do not believe that Roswell happened.

Art Bell gives his early interviews with John Lear the credit for influencing the early direction of the Art Bell Show.

"Who ever concocted 9/11", wanted Osama out of Afghanistan because Osama was ruining the international drug trade. Now there has been a 500% increase in the drug trade to Afghanistan. We were tricked into thinking Osama was responsible for 9/11.

John called 9/11 a tremendous feat of airmanship. "This had to be accomplished by pilots with training in 757 simulator." Whoever concocted this did some switches of airplanes, but everything was still covered.

"It took about 200 or 300 hours of simulator practice time for each pilot." John Lear.

"They were doing 600 miles and hour at 700 feet! That is amazing, in air races we only do 400 miles per hour. That took skill and a long time, probably a year."

Hitting the Pentagon was a tremendous feat. The process of going down increases the airflow and the lift, and makes it even harder to continue going down and "avoid being pushed up and over."

"We don't want to get Osama... Other than that video tape, we don't have a shred of evidence" John claims.

Art asked, where would they get 100's of hours of simulator training? "That is a problem. Only airlines have these simulators, and they are already in use 24 hours a day." There are no 757 in the Middle East, they strictly have French AirBuses.

Their speed was a mile every 6 seconds. They had to plan for a long time to be able to achieve this hit.

During the intermission, Art railed against the Daylight Savings Time. It's madness with no excuse!

John claims we have not been going back to the moon because we were told to stay away. That's why Nasa abruptly canceled the program.

Later in the program, John Lear gave Art Bell a sample briefing that Art might receive if the Government chose him to decide to release all the information about UFO's, aliens, and related things, to the public. This briefing included talk of buildings on the moon, Venus not really having the sulfuric atmosphere we say it has (otherwise how did the space craft parachutes survive it), human mutilations, financial corrupt, etc.

Art wonders about the Chinese, and their venturing into space.

Discusses the Grudge 13 report, and Bill English, who was assigned to the RAF in North London doing analysis. The government claims it skipped issueing report 13 because it was an unlucky number, but in actuality it had all the good details. Bill English was assigned the task to review this document for the British Government. John Lear interviewed him about it.

01 November 2003, Saturday Night
Art Bell spoke about the major sun flares we are having right now. He says a number of people are saying this is really rare to have such big flares so late in the solar cycle. He mentioned government warnings that flying in airplanes right now could subject someone to the equivalent of 5 chest x-rays for every hour in flight. He talked about some possibilities of more of these flares being able to overwhelm the Earth's radiation protections.

He also talked about melting of ice shelves in the Antartic.

Art Bell had open lines tonight. He took a call tonight from someone who claimed to be the top physicist in the world, directing a government project that will "hold off the next supernova of our sun."

Art Bell mentioned that he has ceased experiments with mass consciousness. He wants to do some interviews, but he doesn't question that it works, he knows it works. But he is worried about the unintended consequences.

Art repeatedly talked of his belief that something big is coming.

A caller called in about an article "Video Analysis of an Anomolous Image Filmed During Apollo 16", by Hiroshi Akamura. This is concerning NASA Film CL-862 showing a saucer shaped object moving above the moon. This was in the Journal of Scientific Exploration. Art Bell believed it was very likely Nasa had fiddled with the film if there was any real evidence in it. He discussed with the caller how the Brookings Report made it clear that the world would not be told of contact with extra terrestrials, because we can not handle it.

His main guest was Whitley Striber.

The spoke of woman with encounters who claimed to be speaking a star language. Someone realized she was speakng Gaellic. Another person thought a lot of her other talk was in ancient latin. These statements made in the late 1970's by Betty, were largely about the sun. Art and Whitley talked about how the current events of the sun are entirely unprecedented in recorded history of solar watching.

Whitley is living in Los Angeles now, and he talked with Art Bell about the fires in Southern California making it so bad with haze that Art was able to look directly at the sun without filters and see the sunspots. Please note: It is dangerous to look directly at the sun, even if there is haze. Do not do this! The speculated that instead of arson, by someone like Al Queda, perhaps there is another geological factor causing the fires, and it was not lightning.

Art mentioned interviewing a real vampire a couple of weeks ago.

They also discussed an alien abduction incident from July. Whitley discussed his experience with forensic hypnosis. Whitley discussed how Larry King laughed at Whitley when Whitley related how he talked under hypnosis about being raped by the aliens. Whitley believes that people laugh at a man who was raped by aliens, when they would never laugh at a woman who was similarly raped. Art Bell says that at a later time when he was talking with Larry King, Larry mentioned this incident of laughing at Whitley, and later felt bad about laughing at Whitley.
